Who we are
Our website address is: http://samlingar.varldskulturmuseerna.se.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Website administrators can also see comments, and are responsible for erasing them whenever notified by users who own a comment anywhere on the blog.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
You can prevent the saving of cookies by selecting the appropriate browser setting.
Moreover, you can prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by these cookies and the data related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google; to do so, click the following link, and download and install the Google plugin available for your browser: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Additional plugins of this sort are also available from other providers, depending on the browser used.
In light of the discussion around the use of complete IP addresses in analytic tools, we wish to note that this website uses Google Analytics with the “anonymizeIp()” extension and as such, the IP addresses are only processed in truncated form in order exclude direct association with a person. Your IP address is therefore truncated by Google within European Union member states and other signatories to the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the US and truncated there. The IP address supplied by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
We do not offer the option to register on our website (if any), accordingly we do not store personal information such as usernames/passwords/email addresses/first & last names or any other type of information needed for account registration or log in operations.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
However, inquiries about data protection and the processing of your personal data can be sent to the following email address:
